The Initiative “Klotterinstitutet” (The Institute for Contemporary Scribbles in Gävleborg) studies, educates and researches the phenomenon of “klotter” (translated illegal graffiti/scribbles) in all its forms. A as art, as an action, as part of public space and as culture today.
When viewed as everyone’s art, something that everyone can do, the theme is used as the basis for different questions about art, creativity and democracy. When “klotter” is viewed as everyone’s art, something that everyone can do, the discussion opens up for different questions about art, creativity and democracy.
Participants participate in workshops, lectures and encouraged to learn how to organize their own events.
ISKX (The Institute for Contemporary Scribbles in Gävleborg) was one of seven sub-projects in the Art Project’s” The New Art Education “project, initiated by Folkrörelsernas Konstfrämjande.
