With the trees of Lindesberg as inspiration, the installation stretches towards the sky and down to the ground. The notion of roots, mycelium and foliage are mixed with textiles and sounds to create a temporary space.
The installation was created with inspiration from the trees in the municipality’s cultural history archive and a series of photographs of the linden’s sisters and brothers in the city, documented as double exposures, in a kind of double state are displayed in the gallery at the library nearby. A map takes you on a journey to see the city from their perspective.
The textile is tied in macrame and, like the infinite possibilities of the mycelium, shapes and patterns have been created randomly. The installation creates a shift, a new filter to see the city through. A temporary community anchored in crafts, music and thoughts about trees. During the summer, the place can be used as a stage and gathering space as part of the Open Art Links Biennale, 2026.
